At DeepRank.lol, we value transparent and privacy-conscious measurement. We collect only what is strictly necessary to provide an authentic public leaderboard and prevent malicious traffic manipulation.
1. What We Collect
- Public Project Information: When you submit a project, we collect the product name, public HTTPS URL, stage, category, optional builder details, and pitch. This data is displayed publicly on the board.
- Submission Email: For user submissions, an email address is collected for receipts and listing management. Your email is never displayed publicly, sold, or shared with third parties.
- Anonymous Visitor Identifier: We use a first-party, HTTP-only cookie (
dr_vid) containing a random UUID to estimate aggregate visitor sessions and prevent repeat-refresh metric inflation. - Interaction Events: Outbound clicks, impression timestamps, and referrers are logged to compute public attention metrics.
2. Our Privacy-Hardened IP Policy
We do NOT claim that we collect zero IP information, because web servers inevitably receive client IP addresses to route network packets. However, we strictly enforce a privacy-hardened lifecycle:
- Your IP address is processed transiently in server memory solely for security and anti-abuse verification.
- It is combined with a server-side secret key and transformed via a one-way cryptographic hash (HMAC-SHA256).
- Raw IP addresses are NEVER stored permanently in our database or analytics storage.
- The resulting one-way HMAC is used exclusively for rate limiting and click deduplication.
- IP hashes are never exposed through public APIs or to frontend clients.
3. No Invasive Fingerprinting
We do not engage in canvas fingerprinting, audio context profiling, font probing, hardware enumeration, or cross-site tracking. We do not use third-party behavioral advertising scripts or surveillance trackers.
4. Payment Processing (Dodo Payments)
When you submit a paid order, payments are processed directly by our regulated third-party payment gateway provider, Dodo Payments. DeepRank does NOT collect, store, or process raw credit card numbers, debit card details, CVVs, or wallet credentials. All payment transactions are encrypted under industry-standard SSL and subject to Dodo Payments' Privacy Policy and PCI-DSS compliance standards. DeepRank receives only transactional confirmation signals (transaction ID, payment status, amount, and currency) to verify order eligibility and activate placement.
5. Third-Party Links
DeepRank redirects visitors directly to external websites submitted by builders via /go/[id]. Once you leave DeepRank, you are subject to the respective external website's privacy policies and practices.
